  My husband wanted an opinion on his ingrown toenail before we went out of the country for two weeks so we went to Dr Bruse in Farmington. When we made the appointment over the phone the scheduler told us the office visit would be about $80, but when we got there receptionist said we were misinformed and charged us $187 with a promise that every subsequent visit would be $80. Dr Bruse saw him for 5 minutes, wrote him a prescription for an antibiotic and said to return to get it fixed after our trip. After our trip my husband's ingrown was worse and we called again to make an appointment to get it fixed. The scheduler told us the cost of just the office visit would be $150 so we asked to speak to the receptionist and she confirmed that it would be $150 even though she told us three weeks prior that subsequent visits would be $80. When we asked about the price of the ingrown toe surgery they told us it "might" be an additional $150 per side of the toe, or $150 total. We spoke to Dr Bruse's nurse and she also couldn't give a definite price and jumped to the conclusion that he would need a permanent removal. Finally, the office wouldn't negotiate a cash price for the surgery since he doesn't have insurance right now. We ended up going to a podiatrist in Vegas that did an amazing job on the surgery, that didn't need permanent removal, and it cost us a total of $150 instead of $300-450.
